Good morning to my friends, fans, and followers! John Blangero here, aka, Sun King Rising.
When I set out in January 2020 to record my first album, “Delta Tales,” I did not imagine that it would attain such worldwide popularity. Today, the album and its first single, Free Will in China Blue, is garnering rave reviews, tons of Spotify streams, widespread airplay, and respectable sales figures. Just wait ‘til I start touring with my band!
Today, I am introducing to you my dear friend, Karyn Mueller. As part of the Sun King Rising team, Karyn will serve as my surrogate (more or less,) to chronicle the next chapter of the Sun King Rising story. To do this myself is a bit challenging. You see, I have a day job.
By night, as Sun King Rising, I am a singer/songwriter/piano player. By day, I am a Biomedical Scientist specializing in genetic research at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. In that capacity, we (my UTRGV team), seek discovery for possible cures to a wide range of diseases and other maladies. As you can well imagine, it is highly demanding, so communicating with y'all regularly is a challenge.
THIS IS WHERE KARYN COMES IN.
Karyn has been my hometown friend since our days together in New Castle Pennsylvania, long ago.. Karyn now joins my team to chronicle my journey to the second Sun King Rising album and to worldwide tours we hope to mount by the time the album is released early next year. Karyn's news and views and insights into this process will come straight from the horse’s mouth—ME!
